RandomJam for iOS & Android

RandomJam hands your group one song category at a time so you can build a playlist together, out loud, one round at a time.

How it works

  1. Open the app and tap Start.
  2. A category appears — something like "Favourite song to sing in the car." Everyone picks a song that fits, and you build that into the group's playlist.
  3. Tap Next for a new category, or Previous to look back at one you already played. Stepping back and forward again just replays it — it won't cost you a fresh category.

Frequently asked questions

Does RandomJam need an internet connection?

No. It works entirely offline — there's nothing to load and nothing to wait on.

Will I see the same category twice in a row?

Categories won't repeat until at least 175 others have come up, so a session stays fresh even if you play for a long time.

What's "Invent your own category"?

A wildcard round that shows up every 30 turns, on purpose, so the group gets to make up a category from scratch. It's exempt from the usual no-repeat rule, since it's meant to come around more often than the others.

Can I reset my history?

There's no manual reset — the rotation is designed to keep managing itself, so nothing needs resetting.

Is any of my information collected?

No. See the Privacy Policy for the details.
